Few days ago I changed my computer and you know new device new driver mean is new problem in Linux world.
As you know from the title main problem was about screen brightness. So I read so much thing about it they call some it new kernel problem change your kernel with a.b.c.rc 🙂
Let’s cut a long story short and do it faster way

sudo apt-get install xbacklight |
Then execute that command after plug VGA or HDMI

xbacklight -set 100 |
That problem going to repeat always when you plug in VGA or HDMI so in my opinion bound it for any key and press it when it’s necessary. Being lazy is good for saving time.
